Fearless moguls seemingly quit everything holding them back and live their enduring passion. And while they inspire us, their stories can also leave us feeling intimidated and out of touch.

 

In 2019, we decided, as two friends and co-dreamers, to discover what it really takes. Never did we imagine we would encounter such incredible women and their true stories of struggle and sacrifice—the why behind the pursuit. Now, we are honored to put their raw authenticity into words of wisdom and share this photo journey with you.

 

More than one hundred hours of vulnerable interviews have culminated in twenty-five personal journeys accompanied by photographs that we’ve taken throughout New York City. We wrote these stories based on firsthand anecdotes from the visionaries featured in this book. They are New Yorkers pursuing generation-defining endeavors across the arts, entrepreneurship, activism, and beyond.

 

In an increasingly digital age, we are excited to bring you a keepsake memento that celebrates leadership through the lens of humanity and reminds you that no matter where we come from or where we’re going, resilience is the spirit of our generation.
